Under the umbrella of the so-called “Be smart” Project, a regional education institution brings companies and pupils together to implement a project which give the students the opportunity to get a first insight into the working world. Watch this video and find out how they managed to transform a classic model car into a self-driving mini vehicle.
The Gestamp plant in Bielefeld was one of the industrial partners. In cooperation with a big international screw manufacturer they accompanied six students through the entire project. Together with the seven apprentices Jannis, David, Marc, Samuel, David, Henry and Max and some trainers from the training center in Bielefeld, they transformed a classic model car of a Volkswagen (VW) Bulli into a self-driving mini vehicle.
