If the chance to sit on the devil's throne presented itself to you, would you take a seat? Well, in Kirksville, Missouri the opportunity to do just that, awaits. Right here in Highland Park Cemetery, sits the Devil's Chair.

Legend has it, those brave enough to have a seat in the Devil's Chair at the stroke of midnight will somehow gain devilish powers. Other tales say that if you take the Devil's seat, you will feel his touch on your shoulder or, worse yet, you may be dragged down to hell altogether.

Of course these are all folktales passed down through generations since the chairs creation in 1890-91. Or are they just stories? Questions surround the Devil's Chair...why did its creator have it erected only to be buried at a cemetery across town. Was it merely a tribute to his lost loved ones? Or perhaps a portal for him to be able to travel to and fro visiting his loved ones in the afterlife?

On this episode of Clock Strikes Midnight, we head to Kirksville, Missouri in search of answers...to the Mystery of the Devil's Chair.
