After more than three decades since the first diagnosis of the mysterious disease, Kaiser Permanente continues to be a leader in HIV/AIDS treatment and research, and in partnering with community-based efforts.
One of those efforts has been through the magic of theatre. Northern California's Educational Theatre Program has been performing "Secrets," a play for high school students that unmasks the reality behind HIV/AIDS.
