This video shows you how to backup and restore your navigation device using TomTom HOME.

TomTom Home makes a backup of each device and stores it on your computer. Each subsequent backup for a device overwrites the old backup.

If TomTom HOME does not start automatically when you connect your device, do the following:
• Windows 8 & 10:
Right-click the Start menu then click All apps. Scroll through the list of applications until you see TomTom HOME, then double click to open the program.

• Older versions of Windows:
Click Start - All Programs - TomTom - TomTom HOME.

• Mac:
Click Go in the Finder menu and choose Applications, then double-click TomTom HOME.

To see where TomTom HOME saves your backups do the following in TomTom HOME:
• Windows: Click Tools - TomTom HOME Preferences then select the Folder Preferences tab.

• Mac: Click TomTom HOME - Preferences... then select the Folder Preferences tab.
