Shot in the village of Namata, which is nestled amongst the mangroves along the winding Bau river in Fiji's Central Division, this short film captures the strong link between the villagers of Namata and the strategic location of the village, which is built like a moat surrounded by water. The village location is significantly linked to the villagers traditional role as warriors and heralds of the chiefs from the neighbouring chiefly island of Bau. As the changing tides affect the village way of life, the villagers intend to fight for their existence in that location, for as long as time and tide will let them.
