@Shigashi84 and I are back with another VERY EASY counter to a common judo throw: ippon seoi nage. (First video here - [ Ссылка ]). The easiest counter is just to take the back off the failed throw. This one is the second easiest, except for the risk of being slammed, getting thrown on your head, mistiming the rotation, blowing out your knee, dislocating your shoulder or breaking your ankle. In other words, it’s something every white belt should be able to do without even practicing. If you do BJJ and want to learn judo, start with this 😂
Like our counter to osoto, very talented people *have* actually done this at high levels of elite tournament play. But it comes with too many risks for the rest of us to use it live. Know that it’s possible but stick with your standard hip-in counters instead. Or just hit a clean breakfall 😉
