With the release of the highly anticipated Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie, and the upcoming Chainsaw Man movie, it's hard not to see that there has been a rise in popularity for dark fantasy anime and manga. This is interesting because dark fantasy is essentially a fusion of horror and fantasy. And until recently, horror manga has been considered as a niche.

So, in this video, I will take you on how the horror manga scene has been evolving throughout the decades. Highlighting titles like The Drifting Classroom, Tomie, and Homunculus. While highlighting the notable authors such as Junji Ito, Kazuo Umezu, and Shuzou Oshimi.
