First-year students and their parents shared hugs and said their goodbyes Tuesday during move-in day, when the first crop of U of M students settled into their dormitories before the fall semester begins. Students moving into the SuperBlock had some extra help from President Eric Kaler and his wife, Karen Kaler. The move-in experience starts one week before classes begin and also kicks off Welcome Week, six days of orientation and on-campus activities designed to enhance academic and personal experiences for new students.
