In today's video, I show you how to make this delicious managu dish the easiest way! Managu is one of our kienyeji or indigenous kenyan vegetables that will mostly go with ugali. It is nutritious and I make it without overcooking it. If you've never eaten it, you may struggle a little with a bit of its bitter taste but as you continue, it might just become one of your favorites as it is for me, and especially if you can make it well. I show you how to make it tasty in the video.
INGREDIENTS:
managu (African nightshade) -2 bunches as shown in the video
1 medium size onion
1 medium size tomato
1 teaspoon tomato paste (in the absence of tomato paste use an extra medium size tomato)
1 Clove grated fresh garlic
4 to 5 tablespoons cooking oil to fry
salt to taste - about 1/2 teaspoon
Spices of choice - I used 1/2 teaspoon curry powder, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala and 3/4 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup cream
