Cisternino, whose origins date back to the Paleolithic period, is today part of the list of the most beautiful villages in Italy. It is one of the jewels of Puglia and its historical center is one of the most charming that we have visited in the province of Brindisi. Cisternino is located at the border of the Itria Valley, 15km from Ostuni, 9km from Locorotondo, 18km from Alberobello and 17km from Ceglie Messapica.
The town is very long: 1.2km by 360 meters. The historical village is very small, only 160 meters long and as wide. But despite its small size, Cisternino invites you to stroll around and we recommend spending at least two hours there to fully enjoy it. It's so pretty that you'll want to pass by each alley again and again!
