Jabba the Hutt was one of the most famous crime lords in the Galaxy, largely due to his brutality and influence. During the clone wars, he ruled over one of the largest crime syndicates in the Galaxy. However, due to the Empires need for black market materials, Jabba only rose in power during the Imperial era. This alliance allowed him to grow his influence while many other crime lord's were brutally destroyed by the Empire. By the time of his death, his dealings made up the vast majority of the economy on tatooine with his influence spreading over much of the outer-rim, making him the most powerful crime lord in the Galaxy.
