Changdeokgung is one of the five royal palaces of Joseon Dynasty remained in Seoul.

(Five Palaces: Gyeongbokgung / *Changdeokgung / Changgyeonggung / Gyeonghuigung / Deoksugung)

Changdeokgung is the second palace built in Joseon Dynasty after Gyeongbokgung. Many kings of Joseon liked this place and spent the longest time here.

Changdeokgung Palace, like all palaces of the Joseon Dynasty, has been destroyed many times by Japan. Since then, the restoration has continued, and in 1997 it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
