This webinar was presented by Jessica Hill, Senior Program Manager; Jeff Dauber, Education and Outreach Coordinator; Jen Ebersole, Director State Government Affairs and Kellie Butsack, Associate Director Programs, all with the Alzheimer's Association.
Participants learned more about the Alzheimer's Association's Dementia Care Practice Recommendations that provide the cornerstone for how care should be delivered across all long-term care and community-based settings through a framework of person-centered care and about our statewide policy priorities at the Alzheimer's Association and impact due to COVID. Information was also provided regarding resources that will address how to manage care during COVID-19 and gaining a better understanding of the resources for both family caregivers and professionals in long-term care and home-based community settings.
Learning objectives included:
1. Describing the importance of person-centered care as the key way to deliver quality care for those living with dementia.
2. Identifying the Alzheimer's Association statewide priorities and their impact on how we provide better care.
3. Describing 2-3 resources on preparing staff and family during a crisis such as COVID-19.
