In the heart of Lancaster, Pa is a quiet, clean, family and pet friendly campground which is close to everything you want to experience in the beautiful Lancaster County countryside. Country Acres Campground is a perfect travel destination. It is located off Route 30 and is convenient to attractions like Dutch Wonderland, shopping outlets, Lancaster Smorgasbords and the Sight and Sound Theaters. At the recommendation of several people that we met, Duane and I went to the Sight and Sound Theaters to see the production on David….it was amazing!!! Exclusive to guest of this campground is a free, two-hour guided tour of Amish Country, it is one of the perks you don’t want to miss. On the tour, one of our stops was at Countryside Road Stand. An Amish owned and operated roadside stand known for their hand-made soft pretzels and large array of home made crafts. Seeing Amish families in their horse and buggy so freely on the roads and working on their farms really takes you back to a simpler more peaceful way of doing things. This was the travel stop that we needed to give us a new perspective on life. Family, community and unity are the important things in life…let’s take lessons.
