Behind the scenes tracking snow leopards in the Himalayas.

Filmmaking in extreme locations with limited resources takes a lot of planning and is extremely hard work. This is a short film showing the challenges and discoveries I made whilst making a film about snow leopard conservation. Unexpectedly the trip revealed the start reality of climate change in this epic mountain range!

Sony offered my the new Burano for this shoot, by I opted for the Sony A1 and A7siii alongside the DJI Mavic 3 cine, because I was producing and Directing alone, and needed to limit weight, whilst trekking at 4,000m.

When filmmaking on an expedition, you're always refining the story and your filming techniques, especially when working at altitude. For the next trip I will definitely be taking a second DP to help out!!
