👇5 Ways How These Moves Help You
(ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʙᴇʟᴏᴡ)
I first learned how to move my head side-to-side when I was a teenager. I had watched the @jabbawockeez move their head separate from their torso in a choreography, and got obsessed with it ever-since. The way I learned it was simple, but effective.1. I stud in front of a mirror.2. I tried over and over again, until I got it.
I wanted to achieve it because it looked cool and impressive. Little did I know how this “party trick” could be useful later in my movement practice.
Here are 5 points on how being able to move the spine this way can help you.
✅ Create a specific shape on command

✅ Distribute the weight on your spine evenly/unevenly at will.
✅ Target specific areas of your core with ease.
✅ Spot “tight” areas, and default postures that need attention.
✅ Being able to modulate your movement choosing bend-ability / rigidity / elasticity , depending on what the situation requires.
🔎 I invite you to try these movements, and see what you find out about your spine.
The practice goes on, family!
