Arjun Makhijani's statement to the Minnesota Senate, that "Every nuclear plant generates about 30 bombs worth of Plutonium every year" is worth looking at in detail.
Makhijani was interviewed by Rod Adams in 2012. That was a more technical exchange than the single fact-check performed by Minnesota Senator Michelle Benson.

This video was constructed by Gordon McDowell. It was created between chapters of "Th" Thorium documentary, when I heard Makhijani had testified before Minnesota's Senate.
Makhijani wrote the IEER report "Thorium - No Panacea for Nuclear Power". That is how I came to learn his name. If he hadn't written that report, no doubt this video would not exist.
