alsooo the idea of Link being present as a spirit of sorts in the memories, sorta transported back in time even since you get the recall sepia effect when you unlock a tear, is very very dear to me, because imagine seeing everything happen as if you were there physically but being unable to do anything but be a bystander, a face in the crowd
