After completing my newest sewing project, my plus size 1790's - regency corset or transitional stays, I realized that I needed more support for my bust. I thought about it, got suggestions from internet friends, and got to work adjusting the fit of these stays. Transitional stays or corsets were worn under the 1790's and early 1800's fashions. Not everyone wore transitional stays, but the pattern I used in based on a pair of extant stays in the V & A Museum. Thank you for joining me here on CosTube for my plus sized historical sewing and costuming adventures!
