Technical analysis for your Cat hydraulics is an important way to make sure your hydraulic system is working well. Use the checks and tests in this video to keep your equipment running smoothly.
Remember to perform these tests in an open space:
1. You should have open space in every direction — aleast 25 meters (82 feet) plus the length of the machine in each direction, and 30 meters (98 feet) would be even better.
2. This is because you’ll be raising the boom and stick all the way up for one of the tests.
Tools you'll need for testing:
1. Timing device
2. Tape measure
3. Ladder
4. Cones
5. Pressure gauge if you have one
