Svetlana "Zombierella" Nagaeva has been commanding our collective attention since the mid-2000s, providing vocals for other groups like Messer Chups, The Bleak Engineers and The Bonecollectors. Teaming up with France’s Six Tonnes De Chair Records, she’s now center stage. Zombierella can set a mood in seconds, playfully swooning with the detached cool of a young Nico, dancing around a gurgling post-punk tide on Suicide Commando, a cover of 80s dark wave band No More. B-side Zombie Cadavre dims the lights a little lower, creeping along a sultry bass groove and some sci-fi synth tones.
