The plaintiff let her neighbor borrow a special and exclusive edition of Essence magazine. She says the defendant lost it and now owes her for it. She claims the defendant has threatened her, so she’s suing for the cost of the magazine and threatening bodily harm. The defendant argues she had to move out to repaint her apartment, and it must have gotten lost during that. The defendant says the plaintiff left trash in front of her door. She doesn’t get why the plaintiff is suing her for so much money for a $3 magazine. She’s countersuing for aggravation and harassment.
