Many of you know that Johnny Crawford has been fighting the terrible affliction known as Alzheimer's disease. It's a disease with no known cure and Johnny has been getting worse and now needs 24-hour care.
Care is expensive and a GoFundMe page (link below) has been set up to help. Fortunately, Johnny is being helped financially by family, friends and fans. You all know Johnny as young Mark McCain, Chuck Connors' son on TV's classic western series, "The Rifleman." You may know him as a singer and Pop Star, with early hits like "Cindy's Birthday" and "Your Nose is Gonna Grow," and later, as the leader and singer of a swing band. You may also know that he's as a rodeo riding cowboy who can throw a mean lasso.
In this new music video, you'll finally get a chance to see Johnny competing in a rodeo! Johnny sings a previously unreleased version of the cowboy classic, “Ghost Riders in the Sky.” It is made special by the inclusion of rare 16mm black & white home movies of Johnny during his rodeo years in the early 1960’s. Uncovered by Johnny’s wife, Charlotte, and his brother, Robert Crawford Jr, this wild footage of Johnny riding bucking broncos was edited together by M. Stacey Shaffer and Bret Hampton. It is amazing to see. Each time you view it, your jaw will drop. Plus, Johnny’s unique vocal stylings give a new sound to a venerable classic.
