Exercise I made for one of my students of the chord progression of i - i(maj)7 - i7 - i6. Starts in C Minor, so:
Cm - Cm(maj)7 - Cm7 - Cm6
Very common progression used in jazz music. This exercise does RH arpeggios and LH shell voicings going through the circle of falling 5ths (beginning in C Minor and ending in G Minor).
Slow down the playback speed and work your way up to tempo without stopping to work on being able to play in all 12 keys.
If you would like a transcription of this exercise, please email me at jdecristofaro@warren-wilson.edu
