Join the State Historical Society of Iowa for an online learning series that focuses on the past lives of Iowans to help commemorate the 175th anniversary of Iowa. This week, the webinar shared stories from the Historic Sites owned and operated by the State Historical Society of Iowa as well as a few highlights visitors can discover when they see the sites in person. The state currently owns and operates the following eight sites: Abbie Gardner Sharp Cabin (Arnolds Park), American Gothic House (Eldon), Blood Run National Historic Landmark (Larchwood), Matthew Edel Blacksmith Shop (Haverhill), Montauk Historic Site (Clermont), Plum Grove Historic Home (Iowa City), Toolesboro Mounds (Toolesboro) and the Western Historic Trails Center (Council Bluffs).
