Finding percentages is typically a multiplicative process, and therefore we can take advantage of multiplicative properties like commutativity (order makes no difference to the result) and associativity (grouping makes no difference to the result). Any time it would be easier to conceptualize a percentage with the order reversed (for example, finding 25% of 160 is probably easier than finding 160% of 25), we can do so.
