How Victor Banjo was Killed by Firing Squad- the Story of Victor Banjo who led Biafra Army. It was the work of fate and providence that a Nigerian army Colonel of Yoruba origin turned into an accidental Biafran Major General, fighting on the side of the secessionist army.
In 1967, this accidental Biafran, Maj. Gen. Victor Banjo was arrested, tried and executed along with three others for subversion.
