This is part 1 of multiple parts where you will see how I installed my pond.
I'm not a proffecional so this is how I did it and there for not the best way of doing it.
When you put in the your pond you need to take in somme factors that are important:
- Location: don't put it to far from the main sitting area end if possible where you can see it from the inside of the house ass well.
- You will need a minimum of 6 to 8 hours of sunlight on the pond. That way the waterlilies wil bloom nice flowers. When the aquatic plants have a better chance of growing you will have les algea in the pond. 1 waterlilie is not enough to stop the algea you need about 1/3 plants compared to the size of the pond. (more info on this in another part)
- Don't insulate the pond, in summer it will heat up to much and in winter cool down to fast.
- If you make a wildlife pond it is fine to put it in a tree overgrown corner of your garden. The plants wont overtake your pond to much.
If you want to see the rest stay tune next wensday part 2 will be posted.
