Andrew Yang is offering his version of Universal Basic Income or UBI which will give $1000 to every american. Critics want to know how he will fund it? This leads to the first reason
1) He plans to fund it using Vat tax. Now vat tax vs sales tax or income tax has its benefits. Its more effective in taxing the rich as its harder for them to avoid it using tax breaks
2) His plan actually talks to middle america. When he was on Joe rogan he fully explained why learning to code is not a successful strategy for middle americans losing their jobs to china and technology
3) Economic Impact. Why give your money to businesses through tax breaks in hope it reaches everyday americans hands, why not just give it to people straight so they can spend the money ?
4) Baggage Free. All the Presidential candidates have political scars due to there past while yang has almost nothing to hold against him
