Goldsmiths university has banned the sale of beef burgers on campus as part of its bid to tackle climate change. So is this a step in the right direction to become carbon neutral or is it an overly simplistic response to making a difference? Journalist, vegetarian and former Goldsmiths student Vicki Psarias says banning beef burgers from the university is pioneering and pathing the way towards reducing our climate footprint. But chef Ed Baines says removing beef from the menu isn’t going to change anything and anyone who thinks eliminating beef from Goldsmiths is going to save the planet, is very misinformed.
