The World Health Organization recommends exclusive breastfeeding for your baby’s first 6 months of life and then extending breast milk feeding through age 2 or beyond*. Continuing to feed your little one breast milk as you introduce them to new foods and liquids provides valuable, long-lasting benefits to both you and your baby. In addition to boosting his or her brain power, extended breastfeeding helps protect you both from a range of illnesses and lowers your likelihood of developing some diseases later in life.
