Talk About Curing Autism (TACA) is the eighth Sheckler Foundation “Be the Change” recipient. Ryan Sheckler and the Sheckler Foundation hosted TACA at his private skatepark and presented them with the $10,000 grant, and this video shows what went down.
TACA wants to see all children affected by autism living the fullest life possible and reaching their highest potential. TACA provides access to information, resources and support through education, awareness events and family supportive services to assist families in improving physical, social and emotional outcomes for their children with autism.
Ryan Sheckler’s “Be the Change” initiative was created to help injured action sports athletes and children in need. Since starting in 2008, the Sheckler Foundation has been paying it forward to help numerous individuals and causes. The past seven “Be the Change” winners include: The Port Gamble S’Klallam, Peach’s Neet Feet, Ashley Wade Foundation, Hope for Carter, Gamerosity, Andrew Hale’s Road to Recovery and COPING MECHANISM.
