I recently spent a week with the 2020 Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road and I really liked it. The new Off-Road RAV4 follows a pretty simple formula; take a RAV4 Adventure, add off-road tuned springs, shocks, and bump stops, swap out the 19-in wheels for 18s wrapped in a new Falken Wildpeak all-terrain, and give it a black interior with red trim in place of orange. Out of all these little changes, the addition of an off-road appropriate tire is likely the most noteworthy, as this will allow you to traverse a dirt road with more confidence than you could muster behind the wheel of a RAV4 Adventure with its low-profile all-season tires. Ironic then how the 2020 RAV4 TRD Off-Road is more adventure-worthy than the RAV4 Adventure. Altogether, it's a great camping vehicle or overland vehicle.
