A pair of trains carrying high-end automotive and intermodal traffic are seen passing through Wyomissing Junction during the last light of the day on Sunday, January 31.
First train is auto rack train 18N, pulled by a GEVO and a dash 9. Some of the racks on this train are ancient, with originals from CN, GT, and Santa Fe, but safe inside the battle-worn covers are lots of brand-new automobiles.
Next up is a rarity for late afternoon, intermodal train 212 from Atlanta, with some nice ex-conrail power up front with big tri-level auto racks right behind. The train is about 9 hours late thanks to a major snowstorm in North Carolina, and there is still some traces of snow on the flat cars.
Enjoy the action, and please rate, comment, and subscribe!
