In the third episode of the H55 Spotlight, we had a chance to talk to David Costes, who is a power electronics engineer at H55, to discuss the key challenges and solutions to Electronic Propulsion System (EPS) control validation testing. Using Typhoon HIL digital twin technology, the engineers at H55 achieved a simultaneous real-time simulation and control system validation in a wide range of test scenarios in a safe virtual environment.
About H55 | André Borschberg is an entrepreneur who, together with his team of engineers, conceived a solar airplane with unlimited endurance. Alternating with Bertrand Piccard in the cockpit, they successfully completed the first circumnavigation of the globe without a drop of fuel and set a world record as the first to fly non-stop for 5 days and 5 nights over The Pacific Ocean.
