After covering more than 3,000 miles and performing a host of mechanical upgrades in our 1981 Suburban, it was time to turn our attention to one of the most overlooked aspects of any older vehicle - the interior. To address this, Mike, Elana, and the crew head to Huntington Beach, California where they met up with Gabe Flores and Craig Maiorana at the headquarters of Classic Industries, one of the largest resources for classic vehicle restoration and performance parts.
Here they went about the business of disassembling, cleaning, fixing, and restoring Big Green’s forty-year-old interior by way of some new interior panels, sound deadening, trim pieces, as well as some new cabin flooring, which helped to ensure that our 1981 Chevrolet Suburban was good for another 40 years on the road.
