Steve Hafner, founder or Orbitz, founder and CEO of Kayak, generously spent an hour of his time at the Stamford Innovation Center in May, 2013. Event was co-sponsored by the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network (DEN) of CT.
Hafner has a great story to tell, from the origins of his career, to his early experience at CT's Marketing Corporation of America, Boston Consulting Group and Orbitz. Hafner leveraged those experiences to ensure that Kayak delivered a great value proposition to travel consumers and delivered a solid ROI to investors. The company has been able to avoid many of the mistakes of other internet companies with a very lean team and a very focused approach.
