Hyderabad, June 08 (ANI): The cash-for-votes scam in Telangana took a dramatic turn after a a tape of a phone conversation in which Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu is purportedly heard asking a legislator to back a TDP candidate in an election appeared. Andhra Pradesh government, however, alleged that cheap political tricks have been played and it is done to defame the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. Advisor Communication to AP government Parakala Prabhakar also denied that it is Naidu's voice on the audio tape. Reportedly, the tape features a purported phone conversation between Naidu and nominated Telangana legislator Elvys Stephenson and suggests that Naidu gave an "assurance of all sorts" to the MLA if he votes for Telugu Desam Party (TDP) nominee in the Telangana legislative council election. Meanwhile, an FIR has been filed in Visakhapatnam against Telangana CM K Chandrashekar Rao for defaming Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu.
