This is the iconic Stanley Hotel of Estes Park that served as inspiration for Stephen King's horror novels The Shining and Pet Sematary. The Shining novel was adapted into the 1980 film starring Jack Nicholson and directed by Stanley Kubrick. The historic Colorado hotel has had many notable guests and has been featured in several films. It was not in the Kubrick film nor the recent Doctor Sleep. It is said to be very haunted!
