Before making my videos, I contacted CrashCourse, and informed them of the video project I was planning, and asked permission to use clips of their videos. They replied and said that I need to apply for a license. I applied for the license and sent a follow up email. They have not responded as of yet. I chose to proceed with my video project because it meets the criteria for "fair use" laid out in section 107 of the Copyright Act. See the link below.
