This is a quick hotel tour of the Hyatt Regency Resort & Spa Indian Wells, located in greater Palm Springs area. After more than a year of closures due to the pandemic, it felt so good to be able to go on a much needed girls getaway trip together! The Hyatt Regency Resort Indian Wells is only almost 2 hours from northeast Los Angeles area....not too far away from home but far enough to just take a couple of days to chill and relax.
In this video, I mention the dining options and some of the activities offered at the resort. Unfortunately at the time of this video, the Agave Sunset was not open to serve guests so only the Citrus Marketplace and Cafe was available as far as in hotel dining. Aside from the usual souvenirs and sundries fare, they had quick ready to go sandwiches, wraps, snacks and drinks. They also had a variety of personal sized pizzas which were actually big enough for two. Starbucks coffee and teas are available in addition to alcohol options. They have a variety of pastries and breakfast items - nothing out of the ordinary but all very tasty. The service was amazing considering there was only one staff member running the marketplace and cafe. But as it gets busier in the weeks and months ahead, we hope there will be enough staff to accommodate more people to help keep the lines moving smoothly. The hotel will also eventually have the Agave Sunset open to welcome larger crowds this summer.
We stayed during the weekday so the hotel was not very crowded at all. The resort is very family friendly and has a friendly staff. The resort boasts the largest water features in the Greater Palm Springs area with a 450ft lazy river and two 30ft dueling water slides called HyTides Plunge. Most of the guests were gathered at the main pool area where these attractions are found. But if you wanted a more quieter lounge and relaxing pool time, there is the Oasis Pool which is available to adults 18+. This is where we found ourselves enjoying the pool, soaking up some rays and sipping on Roadrunner Cafe's delicious cocktails. We had very attentive and excellent pool servers! An activity we were looking forward to but was not able to try due to most of the services not being available as of yet, was the Agua Serena Spa. The Spa is open Thursday to Monday 10am to 6pm only. This is definitely something we would like to try in another visit.
I also did a quick room tour and description of our 2 queen guest room. I was pleasantly surprised at how large and spacious the 2 floor level room and its spa inspired bathroom was. The room, beds and bathroom were clean and neat upon arrival, and air conditioning was functioning very well. An awesome feature we discovered one night night was when you have the balcony door open, the ac will turn off after a few minutes. A message will appear on its control pad stating to close the balcony door for ac to resume. This is such a smart and cost saving feature I personally appreciate and have not seen in any of the hotels I've stayed in the past. This is not only cost effective for the resort but also better for the environment. Our room had nice views of the resort pools and the balcony had plenty of space for all to hang out and to sit and enjoy some drinks!
Overall the girls and I had a lot of fun! Our stay was nice, comfortable and just the right atmosphere to catch up and unwind. There were also a couple of restaurants we tried near the resort -stay tuned on our channel or on our IG @OLDSCOOLDESIGNS for that. Thanks to "The Girls" for allowing me to video during our little vacay. Again, thank you Jill and Nate for planning and arranging our accommodations - it was very much appreciated!
