The Zwift Classics... a series of one day races on some of the toughest Zwift courses! Race 3 is the Crit City Slam - fast and furious laps around the 2km Downtown Dolphin course. Sherpa Dave took a look at the route, the points and the powerups - and did a recon so you just have to sit and watch!

Many many thanks to those of you who reached out to me and let me know I was reading the scoring rules wrong... importantly - every third lap is "hot" and the time for the entire hot lap is important!

My humble thanks also WTRL who run this race... from small beginnings of a weekly Saturday race, WTRL launched it's flagship event - the weekly Thursday WTRL Team Time Trial. Competitor numbers have grown to over 4,000 weekly riders and well over 1000 teams since its inception and is a firm favorite with Zwifters. The WTRL Team Time Trial Platinum League, a weekly league of the top 16 virtual TTT teams in each of 9 unique Coffee Class, is aired on Zwift Community Live hosted and produced by Nathan Guerra and a team of experienced commentators - but also by Sherpa Dave, who is clearly far more photogenic. The WTRL Team Time Trial for World Bicycle Relief raised a staggering US$135,000 in 2020.

In July 2020, WTRL became an exclusive partner to Zwift Inc to collaborate, design, manage and run the Zwift Racing League – a global League structure attracting over 15,000 athletes to each of 4 seasons annually... but that's another story...
