FARMERS’ MARKET HAUL! Join me as I head to the Union Square Greenmarket in Manhattan and get all the seasonal groceries that we’ll need for meal prep this week! Before I head out to the market, I like to grab my reusable bags (to carry all my groceries) and my compost from the freezer (to drop it off along the way)...I also layer up because it’s COLD! I shot this on a Monday, and I did not realize until I got there that it’s a lot more sparse on Monday mornings than it is on my usual trips during the weekend. It’s also winter and the virus is still a threat, so the vendors were just ⅓ of their usual number!

The farmers’ market is one of the most magical places in all of Manhattan. It’s in Union Square (14th street) and it’s filled with local vendors, candle makers, farmers, and more! It just brings me so much joy.

Here’s what I got all for $65 total!

I love getting fresh seasonal produce and buying “naked produce” (aka, in no plastic packaging). I also do occasionally have to supplement this trip with a trip to the regular grocery store because we also do eat some produce that’s not local/seasonal.
