More than 1200 students became Coastal Carolina University graduates during three separate ceremonies on May 10 and 11. It was an extra special address to the graduates, as it was presented by Leigha Peterson, Coastal's first ever doctoral candidate. Leigha will earn the title of Dr. Peterson in the coming weeks.

Coastal Carolina University offers baccalaureate degrees in 73 major fields of study. Among CCU's graduate-level programs are 25 master's degrees, two educational specialist degrees, and two doctoral programs: the Ph.D. in marine science: coastal and marine systems science, and the Ph.D. in education.
