At least 55 people, mostly schoolgirls - have been killed in multiple blasts outside a school in the Afghan capital Kabul and more than 150 others were injured.
President Ashraf Ghani said the Taliban was behind the attack - but the armed group says ISIL (ISIS) is to blame.
The attack took place in a predominately Shia and Hazara neighbourhood, groups that have often been the targets of violence due to religious and political differences.
Al Jazeera’s Filio Kontrafouri has more from the Afghan capital, Kabul.
