International couples face a lot of challenges. The culture, language, bureaucracy, in-laws, and language of course. And “90 day fiance “ really doesn’t even show Jsut how hard it is . But for me, my language issues was about a lot of things but I had no idea it was about THIS. Like, it makes sense. Our subconscious operates in ways we don’t even realize it is until much later. I want so bad to learn French and have spent so much money and tried so hard but I also feel at war with myself bc there is a block and then that leads to shame and then that leads to be giving up and feeling isolated. So the fact that I haven not given up really in my actions just in my body sometimes means a lot. It’s not just me being stubborn or an ugly American or whatever. It’s me trying hard and yet fighting myself all because I’m afraid of being TRAPPED. Anywho I can get my ten year card now YAY
