Hello friends! In this video, I read aloud my personal statement that got me acceptances to medical school MD/PhD (MSTP) programs in the United States. An essay being accepted doesn't necessarily make it a good essay since so many other factors go into med school acceptance decisions, but it does provide an 'acceptable' essay example (at least acceptable to admissions committees) that hopefully you find insightful to read. By seeing my medical school personal statement as an example, I hope this helps you get a better sense of what the essay is all about and see that you don't need to be an outstanding writer to create a compelling story. Keep in mind that I am sharing with you something that is important and personal to me, so I hope you can please remain respectful about my personal statement and avoid plagiarism.
