In a meeting of the minds Thursday, Gov. Larry Hogan and Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott sat down to talk crime in a meeting that both called productive. The hourlong summit in Annapolis followed a political war of words between the two about the best way to tackle the city's high crime rate. Although short on details, the mayor said he sought better coordination with state agencies, such as the Maryland State Police and the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services' Division of Parole and Probation. Although the two agencies are currently assisting the city, the mayor said he and the governor agreed to better coordinate the use of those agencies.
