This meditation will help you to fine you middle way between extremely hard effort and concentration, and extremely deep sleepiness or dullness. Try out both extremes. First, strong effort: find any object in front of you, look at it very sharply, very focused, put effort, don't distract even for a second, very laser sharp, push yourself, keep concentration, try to control the mind, very discipline, look outside, do not reflect inside. Make a break. Gently close your eyes, and try the sleepy extreme: relax totally, no effort, no concentration, try to fall asleep, don't push yourself, no things to do, very relaxed, no task to do, no need to be aware of anything, or mindful of anything, it's okay to fall asleep, don't control anything. Take a deep breath, and slowly open your eyes. Go to the stage of Guru Yoga, Middle way. «Lama Khyenno, Lama Khyenno, Drinchen Tsawe Lama Khyenno», as you practice Guru Yoga, bring Lama in front of you, bring Lama's quality, OM-AH-HUNG dissolve into your body-speech-mind, experience the oneness, your awareness is inseparable, you're looking this world through the master's awareness, hearing with Lama's ears, seeing through Lama's eyes. See the object in front from the Lama's awareness, let it be, without effort or focus, any object or space, no analyse, no category, just natural state, wisdom and compassion together. No need to see anything, accept as it is, non-doing, non-meditating, it is happening as it is without definition right or wrong. Find your middle way of Mahamudra-Shine.
