L.E.D. Storm, Commodore 64 conversion by Software Creations and published by GO! In 1989.
"LED Storm - Lazer Enhanced Destruction - The road race game of the year, puts you in control of a high powered futuristic vehicle through 9 fast and furious stages each of which contains various hazards designed to stop you dead in your tracks. Beware of ramps, boxing cars, manic frogs, broken bridges, sheer drops and many more hazards as you cook up an L.E.D. Storm. Playing is believing in the game of a lifetime"
Another arcade conversion I quite enjoyed even though the game can be overly challenging. It does take some memorization to know where the bridges are for jumping across later in the game. The game is fast and you don't get much time to think as you hit a sharp bend or even a fork in the road. There's plenty to crash into which can slow you down or give you points. You can transform between a race car or a bike which can help with certain sections as the bike can fit through tight gaps. Towards the end of a stage there is usually a highly armoured car which you cant destroy that tries to knock you off the track or drop mines in front of you or just plain blocks you wanting you to crash into it.
The game has some good music by Tim Folin but the janky SID emulation in Winvice 3.3x seems to have trouble with it.
